It seems that there are many ways to think about social relationships like love.
But what does it mean to think scientifically about social relationships, or anything else for that matter? What does it mean to think scientifically about social relationships?
Lots of scientific studies have been done on human socialology it makes it easier to understand ourselves. What does it mean to think scientifically about social relationships?
In my experience, it means you don't get to have as many since it makes you a massive geek. I'm okay with it though.

Would not having a normal relationship with a mother from birth to age 4 affect future relationships with ppl?
How would it affect a person if they were in foster care, and kept moving in with different families or homes? Let's just say in this case, the kid knew the mother and acknowledged her mother as being her mom, but she didn't really take care of her/act like a mother, which led to foster care.
Oh, and I know it varies with the individual, but this individual grew up to be very shy and private. Are human relationships, such as romantic ones, impossible for this person?Would not having a normal relationship with a mother from birth to age 4 affect future relationships with ppl?
If Sigmund Freud is to be believed, a child's basic personality
is formed by the age of 5. However, my husband had a very
similar early childhood and he's a wonderful, caring man.Would not having a normal relationship with a mother from birth to age 4 affect future relationships with ppl?
probably in the sense of trust.

What are some cartoons with love/hate character relationships?
Random enough question for you? Okay, so I'm pretty much completely obsessed with cartoons and for some reason I enjoy watching people who have love/hate relationships or ones that completely fit with the whole 'Opposites Attract' thing. It can be any type of cartoon, as long as it's in english or at least has an english dub. What are some cartoons with love/hate character relationships?
ToraDora!
(You can watch it on Youtube, but it only has subbed episodes. It has boy-girl love-hate relationship. I think it's very good.)What are some cartoons with love/hate character relationships?
Naruto and Sasuke from the anime Naruto
Ash and Misty from Pokemon

What are some ways we can improve the relationships between police and youth?
Given all the stories you hear about youth crimes on the rise, I'm thinking one way we can solve this is to make the interactions between police and youth (teenagers, pre-teens) better, to teach youth to trust the police more, to not be afraid to go to them if they want help. As well, we need to encourage the police to use more rational thinking when questioning teens in cases, without jumping to conclusions and arresting them on sight, etc. so they get more respect and cooperation from them. So what are some ways we can go about acheiving this goal? Sensible answers would be helpful. Thanks. What are some ways we can improve the relationships between police and youth?
One way I know is to start a police youth club which includes:--- Weekly youth meetings (have different activities each week such as - quizzes on current and world events, group participation.)
- Police summer camps where teenagers get to hang out with the police. (They can participate in sports events, crafts, learn first aid, CPR etc. )What are some ways we can improve the relationships between police and youth?
I think it ultimately stems from the parents and the way their parents raise them. This could be achieved with more community involvement, naturally. If you can work with the entire community as a whole the children will come to respect the officers as their parents do.
Although the majority of teens in my city(Compton CA) dislike the police. However, that doesn't mean that we the youth and the police could work together and make our community a marvelous place to live. Look I have always wanted to become a diligent police officer in the future;however, living in Compton I have witness many unsatisfactory acts of the police. That have made me look at cops at other way. As result of the poor quality of service that our brace officers provide to my community, teens tend not to be scared of a cruiser or a police officer. They don't enforce the laws. Look the advice I give you is that go and know your youth of your community. Go to your local High school and talk to your youth about what they feel about you, and what and were are the problems in your community. We teens tend to know were are the misbehaving areas are located in our city. Hope that we the youth and the police could work together and
upgrade the quality of life of the citizens and the the quality of those who enforce the laws of United States.
Well, one possible reason that our young people are scared is because they see their parents or older cousins getting arrested and when they see them, they might happen to think, ';Ugh, he arrested my daddy';, as I still sometimes think-- when in reality, they're doing their job and would risk their life to save yours. In my community, Native Americans (such as myself) are scared because of the great amount of mistrust between our societies and the American Government (example: the FBI falsely accusing Leonard Peltier of deaths that occurred in Pine Ridge, SD, then not owning up to the facts and leaving our people imprisoned for years...)
One way to get around it is to make sure you do things ethically. Go in to schools and speak with the students, be friendly to them. We all loved the officers who were in our schools because they were nice to us and talked with us.
Youths naturally rebel, and many lack any serious supervision or parenting. We need harsher laws to deal with these delinquents. Sure the police can try outreach programs, but the youth criminals will always look to take advantage. I think our police do a wonderful job given the task, and do use 'rational thinking.'
Another choice would be to invoke a 'shoot first ask questions later' program with most teens.
well to be honest most cops i have seen are hypocrites and they lie and they do drugs and everything else. and im sure the youth knows this and resent them for doing the same things they do BUT not getting in trouble for it because they have a badge.
Your question is not sensible, so how can you ask for a sensible answer?
we need to get the stigma away that we are the bad guys.
thanks TV
whatever happened to shows like Andy Griffith. he was the ultimite police officer.
It starts with the adults. Instead of parents talking bad about cops they should teach their children that cops are their to help. Kids learn by watching their parents. If the parent is always bad mouthing the police their kids will grow up with the same attitude.
It starts at home. Parents should respect an obey laws, introduce young kids to police officers when they get a chance. Or call their local station an ask when they can visit.
Not just meet one officer in the neighborhood but some in every branch of law enforcement.
Kids imitate adults if we talk bad about law enforcement what they going to think?
Tender I didn't copy you lol, but good to see we think similar.
T.C.
In my opinion there is no resolving that situation. In my day and age parent's were aloud to reprimand and if need be physically punish their children, I mean by spanking or grounding kid's, now day's a parent caught spanking or even verbally chastising their kid's are considered abusive. my dad puting a belt on my *** growing-up taught me alot about RESPECT, For my elder's , the police, teacher,s. Kid's now-a -day's have it to easy and have never learned the meaning of, respect, courtousy, compassion . And it show's. Allow a parent to spank his or her child when NECESARY and I beilieve it would do our world a hell of a lot of good !!!!!

What are the countries that doesnt have deplomatic relationships with Israel?
plz don't say arab or muslim countries as i no its not always true...
i want to know specific countries plz.
are there any that are not muslim or arab? What are the countries that doesnt have deplomatic relationships with Israel?
OK, here we go:
Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Guinea, Chad, Niger, Mali, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Maldives, Comoros, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, North Korea, Cuba. What are the countries that doesnt have deplomatic relationships with Israel?
Like it or not, the truthful answer to your question is to start with the majority of the 57 members of the UN-OIC because they are predominantly Muslim and they want to see another Islamic state take over Israel so that Islam can rule the world from Jerusalem. There may be a few of those countries that aren't really concerned about Israel but that's only because they're too busy warring in their own lands with non-Muslims.
Then there's Russia, North Korea, Cuba and China because they are anti-God and anti-religion.
To Teresa,
anti god or anti religion???
FYI, there are several groups of Christians, Catholics etc. in China....the difference is that they don't shove religious beliefs into other people's throats.
Cuba %26amp; North Korea. All the others are Arab/Muslim.
Indonesia.
Maylaysia
North Korea
Iraq
Afghanistan.
Kurdistan
Lebanon
It gets pretty long.
So what else is new?
Saudi Arabia, Iran, there are more, just ';google'; it and you'll find plenty more.
Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia.

Are relationships and love irrelevant in the Internet Age?
Having a lot of friends who have given up on relationships except for their internet connections, I am wondering if this is common globally. My friends range over a 20 to 50 age group so it's not a youth thing. Are relationships and love irrelevant in the Internet Age?
A computer will never replace real life. Are relationships and love irrelevant in the Internet Age?
thanks for your input - Though it is very significant that there are so few responses, and all negative.

They are NOT irrelevant, but some people may not realize that. That's actually one of the negative sides of the Internet-detracting from real, live human relationships. It's better and more fulfilling to be in a relationship with someon who you've seen, hang out with, and genuinely know in person. There is no problem with Internet relationships(you can't even be sure if the other person is all that truthful),as long as they don't take the place of relationships with people you know.
I don't believe in internet relationship.. It's just so boring.. you can't ****..you can't kiss..and you can't really believe everything the other are saying..
Do relationships between humans and anything else have a physical existence of it's own?
Do relationships between humans and anything else have a physical existence of it's own?
I think that whenever there is a elationship between people and others/objects, that something happens in the brain to solidify the liking/disliking of the other person/object I would think. But does the relationship ';itself'; have it's own separate physical entity or is that something we only imagine or percieve to be there?Do relationships between humans and anything else have a physical existence of it's own?

actual occasions (uncountable)
The final real things in the universe, that are ';experiential'; in nature rather than strictly material. The most basic thing or construct in the universe. Some Whitehead scholars would hold that trillions of Actual Occasions comprise one quark. Actual occasions make up everything, even empty space:
Quotations
';Actual entities--also termed Actual Occasions--are the final real things of which the world is made up. There is no going behind actual entities to find anything more real. ...The final facts are, all alike, actual entities; and these actual entities are drops of experience, complex and interdependent.'; Whitehead, A.N., Process and Reality: an essay in Cosmology, ed. by Griffin, D. and Sherburne, D., New York: The Free Press, 1978.Do relationships between humans and anything else have a physical existence of it's own?
I don't believe that a physical existence exist between the two. I believe that we perceive it.
Our likes/dislikes of a person are based on many variables. These variables stem from our mind and consist of our thoughts, feelings and intellect. They differ from person to person. I don't think these 'perceptions' are even solid since they can change as our values, perceptions and our image of the world changes.
To me, something that liquid can not possible take on a 'physical' existence.
What is the thing behind your idea,I think there must be a thing-in-itself,and we are now showing the true self of things-----every inner things have to show themselves from their appearance.
So the relationship between them is what they really willing to be as what happen among people to each other.that is their real relationship.
It's called ';Symbiosis';. What happens to one ,effects the other. Such as human beings and our planet with all this pollution in our air and water. We breathe that air and drink the water. Then we wonder how people end up giving birth to babies with birth defects and how we have to depend on chemicals to extend our life spans instead of doing it naturally.
Terrific question.
Philosophers have suggested that ';quarks';, supposedly the smallest components, are made from millions of such relationships.

In relationships, do even the insecure guys have to be dominant over thier woman?
Do insecure guys also feel the need to be manly and protective to thier woman? In relationships, do even the insecure guys have to be dominant over thier woman?
I am sure there are some that do. Generally if a man is insecure and unsure of who he is then he isn't ready for a serious relationship yet anyway.
Find a guy who is confident in himself, be selective though, usually its the ones who are so dead set on proving their manliness and self-confidence that lack it the most.In relationships, do even the insecure guys have to be dominant over thier woman?
It is the insecure who perceive an imperative to attempt to dominate a female. This is both foolish and naive. Confident knowledge enhances and encourages learning and independent growth. The insecure attempt to disguise a lack of social skills with efforts to be dominant.
More experienced and secure guys are comfortable with them self and the significant other. There is more a sense of communication and sharing of relationship with no sense of need to be dominant. Independence in a relationship increases the opportunities for quality time and growth.
im shy and not overly confident but that in no way changes your masculinity. I mean most guys dont want total control but they wouldnt get bossed around or lose their masculinity. And i think what your seeing is that most guys who are insecure usually are unable to be manly or protective because they are gonna be smaller and insecure about themselves compared to other guys
Hey!
It's actually the insecure guys that NEED to be (or feel) dominant over their woman. Their sense of self-worth is boosted by it.
Whereas a secure guy does not need to feel dominant because he knows his own self worth... it's better for a woman to choose to be with him than to be dominated by him.

Samantha nailed it. Insecure guys are the overprotective, jealous, potentially abusive type. Give him a chance. Try training him (boys are like dogs in SO many ways). But don't waste a lot of time on him. It could be very costly for you.
';The man is the head, but the woman is the neck. She can turn him any way she wants.';- Maria Portokalos, ';My Big Fat Greek Wedding';
well there's a difference from a man being a real man and taking charge... and another from an abusive mantrying to be the man because he's insecure! HUGE difference and it seems that these days femminest want everyone nto think just because a man doesnt take their abuse that means hes abusive! NOT! they are horrible women and are taking over america.
insecurity is what causes jealousy, over protectiveness, and dominance
if the guy doesnt really have an insecurity issue then he is more trusting and calm and will actually let you spend time with friends and family
In some cases, maybe. Who knows? Everyone is different.

What is a good research question on parents relationships and their kids educational success?
I am doing a research project for my sociology honors course and I need to narrow down my research question options, but I don't not know what to focus on. I was thinking ';Do parents relationship patterns affect their child's success in education?'; But it seems too broad. I need to write a literature review on it and I cant find anything on it. Can anyone help? ThanksWhat is a good research question on parents relationships and their kids educational success?
There is alot of research about the parenting styles and its effect on child's success academically. I think research on parents being available to help their kids with school work and its correlation to their success would be good, and there should be alot of research out there about that. What is a good research question on parents relationships and their kids educational success?
Correlate hours spend per day with the kids to the kids' success in school. Then email me your paper when you're done!

What do you think about black and white relationships?
I'm a white female. And for the past 9 months I have been in a relationship with an black man. My family is doesnt believe in interracial relationships and they call me names and put me down because of it. But, I truly love this guy.. What do you think about interracial relationships? What do you think about black and white relationships?
The USA just elected a President that is half black/half white....I'm thinking no one really cares. Get over it and look below the color of skin....period. What do you think about black and white relationships?
you have to do what your heart tells you. there is nothing wrong with going with the opposite race. we are all people and love is blind and see no color nor flaws. if you worry about loving him then you are not in love with him. when your in love with someone you don't care what anyone says or thinks of you nor the person. your family cant live your life and no one but god can judge you. you have one life to live and if this man makes you happy where you see beyond his skin then stick with him.
i think its great that people of different races can get together, nobody should have to put up with abuse from family and friends just coz they dont approve. if he makes you happy, you go and be happy with him. ignore everyone else. if it doesnt work out in the future then it is ur mistake to make and nobody elses. dont feel down when they say things, be proud and happy og ur relationship. they are just narrow minded and u are the more mature and better person
I've dated men of all kinds of nationalities
I believe there is one race, the HUMAN RACE.
The Bible says in Acts 17th chapter.....from one man God made all nations.
I'm a Believer, if God doesn't see color as a barrier, who am I to go against HIM?
P. S.You don't say how old you or the man is. That really Does make a difference. If you are still at home, you have to discuss this before you make any life~altering decisions or declarations.
you should sit your family down and explain to them you are living in the 21 st century and you are in LOVE with this man.... you can use Heidi Klum and Seal as an example.... but you should tell them that they really hurt you but follow your heart. Color has nothing to do with the person
it shouldnt matter what other people think about who YOU fall in LOVE with. in the end it matters if YOU are happy or not. yes they are your family and might not like it but its NOT their life and if your happy in a interracial relationship they why care what they think
What's wrong with it? Our society is working toward knocking down the dividing walls. It's just a test to see if you can really take all the hardships for this relationship. Just sacrifice if you truly believe in the miracle between you guys. Good Luck.
You can't help who you love. And family is like that.. But I personally don't believe in interracial relationships. But If you truly love this guy don't let others put you down.Love him forever and you will be happy....
Best of luck
they make the CUTEST babies
and you know what, a black man is the same as a white man just with darker skin and better dance moves.
i love em' dark, your family needs to accept that you do also
i'm all for it!! they rock sorry but this world is so split up for nothin. what difference does the colour of your skin make! i'm currently with an indian guy!! :) dont listen to them. it;s your life not theirs. not your fault they are open minded..
I think there is no problem with it, you love who you love, we all have the same insides,,,,,you go girl, regardless of what your family says
nothing wrond with many parents take the mik of there kids cus of relationship its just natural u r reading to much into it
Interesting. Follow your heart.
i think its totally okay. if its good with you your family should ignore the fact he s black. the color of your skin shouldnt matter at all
I think people should be free to date anyone they want, regardless of race. If you love someone, that is all that matters.
i don't anything... we are all one race THE HUMAN RACE!!
if you are gonna dislike someone, make it for something OTHER than their skin colour and ethnicity!!!
be happy, and follow your heart!!!
i think that u guys should still be in ur relationship and shouldnt really care what other people think as long as ur happy. : )
Nothing. They're fine.
I think it's fine... I've got nothing wrong with it butmy unculs are like that.... makes me mad... I used to have a crush on a black man.
Nothing wrong with it- people that do have problems are racist!
who cares about the colour/ race of someone love is all that matters!
They'll get over it once they truly see how he feels about you and treats you.
My family did.
Good Luck!
I am the product of one. Yes, some people will not accept it, but if you love this man, go with your heart.

How do you not let political beliefs ruin relationships?
I try really hard not to, but I always end up changing my opinion about someone when they disagree with me politically, or don't support who I want to win for president. How can I change that? :P How do you not let political beliefs ruin relationships?
It sounds like you lack tolerance and understanding. One of the best things you can do is try to figure out why they believe the way they believe.
Many people just have their parents values out of ease, others go the opposite of their parents out of rebellion. Some people have their own view separate from their parents. Some have some significant event or person in their life that causes them to believe what they do.
If that's too difficult (cause that's a lot of homework) then maybe you should change your perspective. Disagree with those who don't do their homework on the candidates/policies and agree with those who did do the work.
I respect a friend of mine for learning about a candidate even tho I am opposed to their choice a lot more than a guy I know who just blindly sticks with a candidate based on one issue.
Hope that helps. Good luck! How do you not let political beliefs ruin relationships?
The point of politics is not who's right or wrong. But rather that we get two sides of the story so we can best come to logical conclusion's. Changing your views doesn't mean you don't accomplish anything, it just means you know how to compromise.
Just make sure you morality/central values aren't at stake. Other than that you need to respect their differences. For a relationship to work, it helps to have some core values in common. (not that I know much about making relationships work :P)
Don't talk politics.cream tones

What is the difference between discrete and continuous relationships?
A discrete relationship has unit measurements that cannot be divided.
Example: The sale price of an item, the pairs of shoes sold in a store, the number of babies born this year
A continuous relationship can be infinitely divided into smaller pieces.
Example: The temperature, the length of a board, etc..
Basically, when we measure a continuous relationship, we can have a fraction as a value, such as 1/2 meter. But, in a discrete relationship, it's ';all or nothing';. We count by whole numbers.

Why is money such an important role in relationships?
Some women use men for money. Sometimes women don't feel loved if men don't spend enough money on them. How much is enough, if it's true love it shouldn't cost a dime. I mean, it's great to buy something for someone you love. I do not think it should be important to base a relationship off of.Why is money such an important role in relationships?
so many people cant live without moneys as in the west we live in a materialistic society.
thats why i've spent a lot of time with eastern/ african cultures who value other things such as relationships and smiles and kindness of simple pleasures.
i've know my husband when he was earning mega bucks and now earns nothing. i am lucky that we have both appreciated the best in each other as our most valuable resource.
yes we have a family and know the hardships of money too.Why is money such an important role in relationships?
Because it is important in all relationships. One day you will trip over the money issues, and it might get troublesome.
One rule- always have separate bank accounts.
';TOOM POKES SHALL STRIVE';
Back in old Ireland when the man supported the family his job paid in foodstuff. Every day he would go out the door with an empty sack and in the evening he would come with food in the sack for his family.
If he came home with an empty sack it meant that the family would not eat. If he came home too often with an empty sack you can bet the wife would make him feel it. If it was a constant thing this ';empty sack'; the woman would have enough with him and the stress of hunger and doing without would put a strain on the marraige and the family.
';toom pokes'; means empty sack.
It is still true to this day. Money is an important role in relationships because without the necessary sustenance in the family there will be stress, and the relationship will strive for want of food on the table, or rent in the coffers, or decent clothing on the kids back!
Yeah it's true love doesn't cost a dime but if you don't have a pot to piss in then what the hell are you going to cook in? Love alone is not enough. It has to be worked at with respect and sacrifice and if you can't spend a dime on a simple meal then you lose respect of your spouse. If this happens often enough you lose the spouse as well. It's more than just buying something for your loved one. If she is your wife, and your childrens mother you better well be able to insure the woman that her family will be taken care of.
Todays wallet is the equivelant of our ancestors hunt. The better the hunter then the better the food and fur coming into the hut.
The women will always go to the better hunter in her social level.
And that my friend is why money is so important.
Much of western society is based on consumerism. ';I am what I own/spend';. Some folks fall for this nonsense so they feel a need to spend a lot of money (or more accurately, to be seen to be spending lots of money) to feel worthwhile and a ';somebody';.
This is a great fraud of course, but lots of people fall for it.
Humans are funny critters though. Studies have shown it is relative wealth that makes these types feel good.
That is, they feel better their net worth is $100K, provided that all the folks they know are worth less than that. If a year later they are worth $1 Million, but so are all their friends, than they don't feel happy at all despite their net worth being 10 times greater than before. Go figure.
i think money is important but shouldn't be use sometimes you can buy them something and other times you can show your love by doing something special like:
writing a love note
cooking dinner
holding hands
whisper in her ear
and etc. show her how you really love her without spending money
Money is an abstract tool to buy homeostatic needs.
In true love, money or wealthiness is irrelevant, because love is based off of the person, not their belongings or wealthiness.
I think money is such a common role in relationships though, because money is such a common necessity for some. Money can be used to help people, harm people, cure people, and kill people. Wealth is used in however we want, and wealth can carry out our desires. Sometimes the desire to carry out your desires is stronger than your desire to find love in someone.
I have know my girlfriend, soon to be wife ever since we were born. Money has not got in our way. So my simple answer is Americans are money greedy.

What relationships do the hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere and biosphere share?
I need like 40 examples of things they share, I'm making a graph/web thing. What relationships do they have with one another? What relationships do the hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere and biosphere share?
You will need to do some reading for this - I suggest you start with the definitions and then go on to some of the many sites dealing with this.
You can think about how the climate (atmosphere) affects weathering and erosion of rocks (Lithosphere) - volcanoes affect the atmosphere, biosphere and hydrosphere in different ways. The lithosphere - geology - influences the biosphere because it dictates the types and fertility of the soils. Similarly the weather influences what can grow and consequently the whole biome. Birds fly through the atmosphere, fish swim in the sea, people dig in the ground to grow crops - all these are interactions. Just a few examples.
Do a search on lithosphere + atmosphere +hydrosphere + biosphere + interactions. What relationships do the hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere and biosphere share?
hydrosphere, lithosphere and atmosphere interact at a point called biosphere where most life exists
they are the 3 main division of earth.

How much control should the government have over relationships?
Including laws about age of consent, incest, polyamory (not polygamy), and laws about sexual acts, i.e. sodomy laws, etc. This is outside the realm of marriage--simply relationships. How much control should the government have? How much control should the government have over relationships?
If it's consensual and adult, they should have no say whatsoever.
The only time they should intervene is when it is not consensual or minors are involved. How much control should the government have over relationships?
I think the age of consent should be 18, because sex is for adults, not for children.
I also think incest should be illegal, because of the likely health risks to any children born.
Other than that, I think anything should be legal as long as it's consensual (children and animals can't give consent), including all kinds of porn. The government shouldn't have control over people's sex lives, providing no one is being exploited or harmed.
The only relationships government should care about are if minors are/could be involved...
in an ideal society none
but in an ideal society there would be no pedophiles etc.
they shouldnt have any its not their lives / problem so leave ppl alone damnit

How long can the honeymoon phase in abusive relationships last?
Is it possible for this stage to last several months? Even years?
For those who don't know, the honeymoon phase is when an abusive person is nice and calm in a relationship...
I'm curious as to what's the longest possible time this stage can last...
Thanks. How long can the honeymoon phase in abusive relationships last?

They are very unpredictable you never know when their rage and anger will attack you. I say get out while you can. I was married for 7 years in a physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive relationship. I kept thinking he would change, but no luck at all. He would tell me he loved me right after, but he was never truly sorry because he would do it again and again.

Who cares? The goal should be to leave --period. Who needs a 'honeymoon stage' waiting around to be killed when you should just EXPECT to be safe!

What is the law on student and teacher relationships?
What is the actually law on student teacher relationships?
and why is it so frowned upon? What is the law on student and teacher relationships?
There are a number of laws which might apply, and none of them are federal, so the details will vary depending on where you live. First of all, if the student is underage, it is considered statutory rape for an adult to be sexually involved with a student. That pretty much is the major approach used to prosecute middle and high school teachers.
Secondly, it is generally considered sexual harassment, because the relationship cannot be equal between a teacher and a student. The student just doesn't have a choice. You will usually find that unless the student is a minor, the teacher only gets into legal trouble if the student her/himself complains.
In addition to those legal aspects, most schools have their own policies on dating between students and teachers. They are trying to do two things. First, they need to protect students from predatory teachers (the type who will threaten to fail a student unless s/he sleeps with the teacher). Secondly, they need to maintain an environment which is comfortable for all students. The teacher who has 100 students in class and has a relationship with one of them is giving an unfair advantage to some students over others. Having gone through this as a college freshman with a male professor who was sexually involved with several of the women in class, it was the men who felt most resentful, because there was nothing they could do to get the type of attention from the professor that the women got (not to mention that some of the women he slept with were their girlfriends!). Overall, it creates a lot of messy situations which may be viewed differently by one party than by another, and should be avoided. What is the law on student and teacher relationships?
Ok, I understand the underage laws and all, but I'm confused about something. What if the student in of age, like on a college level, and is not in that teacher's class? What if the student just so happens to go to the university where that professor teaches?
Provided that the pupil is over the age of consent there is no law to prevent pupil/teacher relationships.
Most schools and colleges include, in their terms and conditions of employment of teachers, that having a relationship with a pupil is a dismissible breach of contract. The teacher in such a case would lose his/her job, and would render him/herself unemployable as a teacher in the future.
The ';why'; is that such relationships are seen as breaches of trust. Teachers are employed to teach, not enjoy relationships with students.
It depends on where you are and how old you are. In Britain, a sexual relationship between a teacher and a student under 18 is illegal, as it's classed as a ';breach of trust'; offence. Above that, it's legal, but there's a good chance it will result in the teacher losing his job and having a seriously hard time finding a new one!
The reason for this harshness is that students and pupils are classed as ';vulnerable';, and there is a tradition of students falling for ';Sir'; or ';Ma'am'; for reasons relating to the percieved power, knowledge and ';coolness'; of their job.
It is illegal. The teacher is in a position of trust and has a responsiblity to look after the children in their care - not seduce them! Even if the pupil is over 16 it is illegal. If a student has left school at 18 and the teacher no longer tutors them then I believe it is not illegal in the eyes of the law, but morally is frowned upon. Besides, dont you think it is a little sick? A grown adult grooming a child in their care? I know children do have crushes on their teachers but it is the adults duty to deflect this attention.
first off ,it is very unethical and can get that particular teacher fired and possibly sued...also a teacher is supposed to be an authortiy figure to the student and also a role model ,and to do anything like that would be unethical and prove that that teacher has no concern for ethics...
it is so frowned upon because it is seen as taking advantage of the students and possible rape and molestation charges depending on the case...
The laws pertain to age limits for sexual contact. Break that law, the teacher goes to jail.
In addition, even if the student was over 18 and no law was broken, each school has their own code of conduct for both students and faculty. This would usually result in the teacher being fired and the student being suspended or even expelled.
I hope for everyone's sake that this is a theoretical enquiry! If anyone is below the legal age of consent then a sexual assault has occurred, if a pupil is harassing a teacher then they can be cautioned/convicted (depending on their age) Even in a situation where the pupil is of an age to give consent then the teacher has committed a breach of trust and this will affect their career negatively, what happens specifically will depend on the school. The rules are there for good reasons!
The teacher would be taking advantage of a minor under his/her authority--a despicable thing to do, and thus frowned upon. Your location may have specific laws against it; if not, it probably would be statuatory rape, if the student is under the age of consent.
Well if they're a minor I believe it's illegal. I'm not so sure about in university etc. but it's still frowned upon. It's because the teacher is in a position of authority (and no doubt quite a bit older than the student), and so it's easy for them to take advantage of a student.
School or university?
In schools it's illegal and even after the pupil has left school it's still illegal to have a relationship with a former pupil. (forget the time span)
At college and university it's an internal matter. Usually overlooked because that's how many students get good grades.
If the student is a minor, it is illegal.
If the student is an adult, the school sets the policy.
I'm not sure IF there is a law, but it will of course affect the teachers judgement of your work, it is not a good idea.
If the student is underage, there certainly are many child abuse laws, statutory rape laws, etc.
why hav u got a crush
I would think its illegal but having said that i had sex with two of my P.E. teachers while at secondary school, it was a fantasy thing for me and the first teacher was very good looking, i wouldn't have a shower so he waited till the other boys had gone and got in the showers himself then ordered me in, only 14 years but i enjoyed it.
and why is it so frowned upon? What is the law on student and teacher relationships?

Why do some people have such smooth sailing relationships, while others go through rollercoaters ?
without so much of peace?
Is that what they truly wanted, or is it a destiny thing? Why do some people have such smooth sailing relationships, while others go through rollercoaters ?
i guess it depends on loads of stuff right...wat kind of a person u are..wat kinda persons u normally go out with..how do you handle differences n fights...varies from person to person i guess..Why do some people have such smooth sailing relationships, while others go through rollercoaters ?
no one has smooth sailing. Every relationship that goes past ';skin deep'; or surface has it rocky at times.

Do relationships with two exclusive bottoms or two exclusive tops work?
I'm not talking about an emotional relationship. Just really on a physical and practical level.Do relationships with two exclusive bottoms or two exclusive tops work?
Only if one or both are willing to switch-hit every now and again. But inside every Top is a bottom, screaming to get out!Do relationships with two exclusive bottoms or two exclusive tops work?
Yes. Sometimes they work better with 3ways or open, but sex and love are two COMPLETELY different things. If you love someone, you should still be able to have sex with whoever you would have sex with if you'd never met. If you can't, you need to re-learn what sex is and what love is. They have NOTHING to do with each other. I don't know how I could make this clearer...
it could work. i could see it maybe working if they were willing to compromise a little. the emotional part could work, but physical would be a bit tougher.

Ok your obviously on square one...
TOP + BOTTOM = sex
TOP + TOP = kinky sex
BOTTOM + BOTTOM = romantic sex
People that are exclusive anything are annoying.
Compromise. Take turns. Or better yet, flip-flop. It just takes practice to be versatile. Don't be lazy if you like him.
A relationship isn't just about the sex.
Never say never. :)
When the mood is right...you'll do anything.

What do you think about online/long distant relationships?
What do you think about them, just in general? Do you think they can work?
I met someone a few weeks ago and we really click and I really look forward to talking to him every day.
What's your opinions? What do you think about online/long distant relationships?
Well my best friend met her boyfriend on myspace. They've never met in real life. Everyone thinks it's really weird and that it won't last but I think if they both claim that they're in love then forget what everyone else says. I just think it would be hard.. and for the long distance part, I can speak on my own behalf and say that yes they do work because I am absolutely in love with my boyfriend and he is in the navy a billion miles away from me and we talk everyday and when he comes home to visit it seems like nothings changed. Yes it's hard to maintain a relationship with someone who you hardly see but it can work. What do you think about online/long distant relationships?
If you really are into that person you should try to make it work. There is nothing wrong with an online relationship, but most of the time i don't think they work out,but the best of luck to you.

Just curious what others think, can long distance relationships work?
I have been talking to someone almost a year now and he stays in another state. We communicate regularly and feelings have become strong between us. At the same time we have two different lives and I don't want to put everything in this just to get hurt any advice!Just curious what others think, can long distance relationships work?
keep talking to him, keep visiting........see where it goes..........take your time.
i think they can work personally.Just curious what others think, can long distance relationships work?
I really think the worst part in a LDR is missing someone you love so much. Sometimes it's really sad.
But concerning the rest of it, it's very similar to a ';regular'; relationship. You must trust your bf/gf, you must care for each other and for the relationship, you must keep in touch, you can't cheat on them, you must share your things and feelings. No BIG differences at all.
When people live close to their bfs/gfs they tend to have the ';illusion'; that everything is alright and ';under control';. Unfortunately, we know it isn't true. Close or not that close, we always have to make efforts to keep a nice and healthy love relationship, or it fails.
So, don't let distance ruin your relationship, follow your heart (don't listen to losers and jerks), remember love worths it.
I wish you happiness.
:)
I think the first question you need to ask yourself and them is what do you want out of this relatonship - that will determine how much you put into it.
If you both care for each other and want a friendship and maybe something more then you will put time into it and be rewarded. Don't be afraid of getting hurt - that is part of relationships; as the saying goes it is better to have loved and lost than never loved before.
However, if you are both communicate and are honest with your feelings and expectations then there is minimal chance of being hurt - exactly the same as if you lived in the same city, next door to each other or in the same house.
It is just harder because you don't have regular physical contact. I would encourage you to use email etc, phone, and web cam to increase and provide variety in your contact.
On the plus side this situation gives you the fantastic opportunity to build a friendship but on who you both are, not a relationship based on the physical.
If you are going to take the relationship to a deeper level, here any expertise I may have runs out - but I think you that even once you have built a great friendship you need to move it slowly to bring it together as you going to knit two separate lives into one. It is easy to assume that you have a great friendship so something deeper must naturally follow - it doesn't. Visit each other and get to know each others friends - if this works then there is a good chance the rest will work.
But communicate about everything and talk this is paramount to any relationship.
All the best

Do relationships usually fail when one person attends church and the other stays home?
Does the one that stays home resent the one that attends church and church-related activities?Do relationships usually fail when one person attends church and the other stays home?
No, attending or not attending church shouldn't cause a relationship to end. If there are problems ask the pastor how to handle it.Do relationships usually fail when one person attends church and the other stays home?
Relationships don't fail unless one or both decide that it's time to move on and believe that their relationship is over.
1Corinthians 7:13-14 '; And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. for the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving woman has been sanctified through her believing husband.'; I hope this helped you and encouraged you. I wish you the best.
well it wont be the best it should because you are not both going. Pray about it, its God's desire that you move in the Love and mercy of God as husband and wife. Get your pastor on it and start sowing seeds into successful ministers like Kenneth Copeland or Jerry Savelle and believe that he will come to Christ. Maybe if he sees such a happiness about yourself after going he will attend, he needs to see the attraction it brings to ones life.
They shouldn't but if the religion is not in their heart then i guess it could be an awkward thing but they knew that you were religious when you started dating and so this should not be that big of a surprise to him or her.It is not cheating by any means it is worshiping God , it is a personal choice to make.
My boyfriend does a lot of things I don't do, I'm interested in other things. People are different, if church is your thing then go with him..if you don't like church then he's better off going alone. Relationship should not fail just because a couple have different interests.
Everyone is different. My husband doesn't like to attend church. Me and the children do. I don't force it on him. I know my husband believes in god and he's a good man. I just leave it at that.
Church has got nothing to do with it. It means that you have started going in two different directions. It could be golf, football, women going out with there mates, anything.
No. Relationships fail when one or both people become resentful, stop spending time with each other, and fail to appreciate all the wonderful things about their partner.
depends on how strongly the person feels toward the religion.
Absolutely not! My wife attends but I dont and we have been together happily for 20 years!
Hope this helps!cream tones

What do you consider the magic number in relationships?
After how many weeks, months, ect...does a couple have to date before you think the relationship might be heading towards a long term one? After a month you think it might be long term? Two months? Three months? I guess at what point do you feel it's more than just infatuation that is holding the two of you together? What do you consider the magic number in relationships?
For me it was one month... when you are older you do not want to waste a long time before moving on if the feelings are not there. What do you consider the magic number in relationships?
That depends on you. Some couples date for years without ever thinking of marriage, because they just can't see themselves making it work forever. Others decide to marry fairly quickly...the majority of them don't make it, but originally they thought it would be a serious, long-term relationship.
If you don't feel it, don't force it!
There is no magic number. It depends entirely on the two people in the relationship. Each and every person is going to feel differently toward different people at different times. Just because I feel like I'm falling for you after a few months, doesn't mean you like me THAT much.
Numbers are for math.
I don't think there is a magic number for relationships, it is different for everyone. For my wife and I it was a very very small number before we knew that it was more than just infatuation.
It is something you just have to know in your heart, not on a calender.
I would say after 6 months is a good way onto something bigger. But then there are those in relationships for 5 or 6 years and it seems to have stalled. So if you are looking for a magic number, I am afraid there is no such thing in a relationship.
I think it varies from couple to couple. I knew a couple who'd been married for over 50 years that had only known each other two weeks before they got married. I don't think there's a magic number per se.

What is the main cause of unhappiness in relationships?
What is the biggest reason people are dissatisfied in their relationships? What do you think most often causes them to break up and look for someone else? What is the main cause of unhappiness in relationships?
Two primary things:
1. Failure to communicate expectations and desires, to make sure the other person understands what you truly want and expect. (This is a two way street, and both partners must negotiate for agreed behavior.)
2. Unfulfilled desires. One or both partners have a wish of something different, that the other person is unable or unwilling to fulfill. Sometimes two peoples personal growth, and desires start going separate directions, and they can no longer support each other in progressing towards happiness. These can be as simple as ';more church';, ';more exercise';, ';more social life';, or ';less';.. People are always changing, and sometimes those changes result in the inability to fulfill the other persons needs. What is the main cause of unhappiness in relationships?
the biggest reason people are not happy is that they are not honest about all kinds of different things.
who they are
what they want
what makes them happy
why they are mad or upset
what they need to do to be a (better) person
all these things makes people dissatisfied with themselves, and other people.
It is the absolute lack of preparation.............................鈥?br>
People jump into it as though it were a game!
Don't you find it rather strange that we need a license or permit to babysit, to ride a car, to beg on the street, to sell liquor, cigarettes, meat, etc. but when it comes to the most important and serious decision in one's life, such as getting tied up to another soul to bring babies into the world, etc., there is no requirement? It's just there and available for the asking!!! What gives? I wonder! Or is it just par for the course with 2 Corinthians 4: 4?
It's usually miscommunication, but it can also be a lack of respect or a lack of trust.
In my case, it was having a controlling husband. Who doesn't want to change and thinks there's nothing wrong with him..
they take each other for grantide. one reason marriage is horrible and usually doesn't work. i think everybody has to know they can walk away from there lover if it doesn't work out, and not have to give up half there stuff in the process.
';Incompatibility'; is the poison of relationship. Those who detect it early and take corrective measures can prolong their relationship but other wise the relationship is bound to bring unhappiness.

Is there a good website that can teach everything there is to know about dating and relationships?
My parents were never there to talk to me about these sorts of things, and I guess I just want some good, honest guidance in everything about dating. Any help would be great. Is there a good website that can teach everything there is to know about dating and relationships?
You are on the right track with wanting to learn how to improve in this area.
You will find a lot of info on line that will teach you how to manipulate the other person. This is not what you want.
Good relationships come down to treating the other person right and being mature yourself.
One of the best books I have read is called ';How to Win Friends and Influence People';. You can see a summary below.
Remember this quote: ';You want to be the kind of person you would like to date.';
In other words if you don't like dating selfish people, then don't be selfish. Is there a good website that can teach everything there is to know about dating and relationships?
Ya don't ya wish there was. Don't read anything about relationships unless you really need it. Be yourself and take love on as something new and take relationships with your own perspective so its one of a kind. Sorry i didnt really answer your question.

Why do certain people feel more accomplished in relationships, and others enjoy single life more?
I'm one of the guys who would love nothing more than to have a pretty girl to come home and spend time with every day, but so many say single is better....why do they/you feel this way or don't? I know you don't have to answer to anybody, but in the 2 years my ex and I spent together I never felt trapped or not-free in any way....what do you prefer and how has it changed over time? Why do certain people feel more accomplished in relationships, and others enjoy single life more?
Some people like being single for various reasons. They feel more free and feel as though they have more space to do their own things. The possibly explanation to this is because sometimes their partner gets too clingy and needy, so they feel pressurized to do their own interests and activities.
It can also be that they don't want to be committed to one person, and want to have the rights to go around with ';the field';, than actually getting the status of officially being with someone.
It can be past trauma with their exes so they prefer to stay single.
There are many reasons to this, and it really depends on the person and their opinions.
On the other hand, some people like being in relationships.
They like feeling loved, and love having the idea of being with a person sexually. They want to spend their moments with that one person, and be with them by their side as long as possible. And the list goes on, being so the reasons are rather clear and obvious.
Everyone is different, and their point of views can change through time. When they experience some kind of situation, and slowly their opinions alters. Its just like how we all change through other circumstances. Like about work, life, etc.Why do certain people feel more accomplished in relationships, and others enjoy single life more?
being single feels like im a free man again back in jungle to mate lol .
It all depends on the part of the life you're in. Some people prefer the power to pick and choose the person to be with, ie;single. Single people don't have to commit and open up to one person, and that can be a scary thing. They can keep it as impersonal as they want. People that prefer relationships like sharing all of themselves with one person. It is a deeper level of connection than being single. Sharing all of yourself can be a very terrifying thing. Vulnerability is not everybody's cup of tea. My opinion definitely has changed over time, in middle school and high school, I was a very awkward kid. I always preferred being single because I knew I couldn't get a date. I was much happier not worrying about boys. Now that I met my current boyfriend of a year and a half in college, I much prefer being in a relationship. I'm at a time in my life where I want to share my memories to someone who knows and loves every part of my personality. I much rather connect with someone emotionally and romantically than play the field.
I hope this has answered your question!!
Have a wonderful day!!

How would God comfort people going through bad relationships?
If your parents or relatives were going through a possible divorce or just marital problems, what sort of comfort would you give, as a God-fearing follower?
It'd be great to have some advice from a pastor or minister...how would God go about comforting people experiencing these kinds of troubles?
Jesus never had a spouse; perhaps it isn't the end of the world for them to wind up alone, following the Word of God?How would God comfort people going through bad relationships?
From what I can understand I believe God would prefer there no divorce, argument, or other miseries. Where God lives in heaven there are no miseries such as disease, argument, old age or death. God would prefer we have no miseries world-over which would mean heaven on earth. But, this is the material existence and so there are those who do not remember God nor believe in Him. Those who understand God in this world can work towards heaven on earth through their employment and through there devotional activities such as prayer.
Disagreements lead to argument. As arguments get worse bitter feelings may develop. As bitter feelings develop more and more there is the possibility of hatred developing. Therefore, we need to work on these disagreements. We need to invite God into all discussion and debate. When we turn to God as the ultimate authority then this should help to end all disagreements. How would God comfort people going through bad relationships?
The Spirit of Jesus in you can help you endure hard times, relationships being one for example. Christ Spirit in us give us hope that things can get better. Having enduring patience is a gift of the Spirit and knowing that Jesus Christ will make things better is part of that.
I'm not a pastor, but I'll try to help XD.
Taking vows of celibacy is not following the Word of God in any way, shape, or form. Some people do wind up alone, but God wants us to have companionship. We, as human beings, also tend to want companionship.
Yes, divorce is a sin. But there are no sins that Jesus didn't die for. He died for all sins. Remember that He died even for Barabbas. And remember that the one who accepted Christ with his last breaths went to Heaven with Jesus. There are no sins under the sun that Jesus didn't fully pay for.
When your parents accept Christ into their hearts, all their sins are forgiven (past, present, and future).
Rest in Jesus XD.
Peace out.
Just tell them you would be praying for them.
And actually God does know what a bad relationship with others is like. Man ditched him big time! But God still stuck with our species. Maybe you could tell the people to work things out. And actually God doesn't like divorces at all. If you want to hear a sermon on the subject, let me know...
he wouldn't. We are to choose our paths. Life is filled with lessons every day. It is how the people decide to handle it. God will not guide, talk or praise anyone. That is why so many senseless deaths occur, there is No One to stop them.
Answering your first question: By putting others in your life that can help you through the bad relationship. Giving you great other friends to rely on.
He would probably stone them for divorcing.
With His wonderful Word and through your friends
Perhaps the story of Job is a good place to start.
In ancient times, east of Palestine, there lived a righteous man by the name of Job. He was a just and good man, who always strove to please God throughout his life. The Lord rewarded him for his piety with great wealth. He had many hundreds of large and thousands of small cattle. His large and close family of seven sons and three daughters comforted him.
But the Devil was jealous of Job. He began to vilify him before God, ';Doth Job fear God for nothing?... But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse Thee to Thy face.'; Then God, in order to reveal to all how faithful Job was to Him and in order to teach people patience in their sufferings, permitted the Devil to take away all of Job鈥檚 possessions. One day robbers came and drove away all his cattle, slew his servants, and a terrible tornado from the desert destroyed the house in which Job鈥檚 children had gathered together, killing them all. Job not only did not complain against God, but he said, ';God gave, and God hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.';
The Devil, put to shame, was not satisfied with this. Again he began to slander Job, ';All a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth Thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh (that is, strike him down with disease), and he will curse Thee to Thy face.'; God permitted the Devil to deprive Job even of his health, and Job was stricken with the most terrible disease 鈥?leprosy. Then even his wife began to persuade him to complain against God. His friends, instead of consolation, only further grieved the innocent sufferer with their unjust suspicions. But Job remained firm, did not lose hope in the mercy of God and only begged the Lord to testify that he was suffering in innocence.
After this, God, having shown to all the example of devotion and long-suffering in His servant Job, appeared Himself and commanded his friends, who had regarded Job as a great sinner, to ask for prayers from him for themselves. God rewarded His faithful servant. Job regained his health. He had seven more sons and three daughters, gained back twice as much cattle as he had before, and lived another one hundred and forty years in honor, quietly, piously and happily.
The story of long-suffering Job teaches us that God sends misfortunes not just for sins, but that sometimes God sends misfortunes even to the righteous for an even greater confirmation in goodness. The story of the life of Job also reveals to us that earthly welfare does not always accompany a virtuous life for men and teaches us also to be sympathetic to those in misfortune.
To me, the story of Job demonstrates that not only does Job have faith in the Lord, but that the Lord's faith in Job is even greater.
Whatever happens, the best thing one can do in this situation is to give sympathy and show patience, not take sides, understanding that, regardless of the outcome, all will be as it should be, and that even suffering is limited.cream tones

How do others handle their money while in relationships - do you share or pay your own bills separately?
I am curious - when others are in relationships - do you put your wages together and share all the bills or do you keep your own money and pay half the bill each and do you have separate bank accounts or do you have a share bank account. It would be interesting to see how others handle this - in my own relationship we share everything. How do others handle their money while in relationships - do you share or pay your own bills separately?
Well, the best way to get your answer is look at your parents and people you know who is married. Most married couples combine their income to pay off each other bills.
In my family, both my parents work. My mom shops alot and my dad pays all the bills. They have a joint checking and savings account.
Though, there are some married couples that keeps their accounts separate. Usually its young married couples because they are not sure whether the marriage will work or not. Believe it or not, most marriages that end divorce is because of money issues. How do others handle their money while in relationships - do you share or pay your own bills separately?
Married? Then share... as my good buddy Dave Ramsey says - the pastor pronounced you ';husband and wife'; not a Limited Liability Partnership.
Engaged or dating? Seperate accounts, seperate bills, seperate responsibilty. Until there is a commitment to each other enforceable by the law you keep your money and debt yours, and the other person's theirs. If you open a joint credit card or loan and one of you dies (or skips town), the other is left with the debt and no recourse to obtain the other person's money. So you would end up with 2x as much debt and half the income.
I have seen many types of arrangements in my line of work.
The best: Maintain your seperate accounts, BUT have a joint account for your general living expenses and bills etc.
Thoughts: What type of relationship are you in? How much risk are you willing to take on? How would you feel financially if (god forbid) it fell apart tomorrow???
Before I got married we payed our own bill's and had our own bank accounts. we both agreed on that because people who do what your doing for the most part get riped off when the other splits from the relation ship. they take all the money and guess what since it is a shared account the police can't do a thing about it. So think about it.
You're living in a sin, but that's all you see around, you make him feel like a god and then you hate him for it but you like hating him. But to answer your question. YOU NEED TO COME UP WITH A BUDGET THEN STATE WHO IS GOING TO PAY WHAT AND HOW MUCH. PUT THAT MONEY IN A JOINT ACCOUNT.MAKE SURE NOBODY IS DIPPING IN IT AND USE IT ONLY TO PAY RE-ACCURING BILLS. bUT YOU SHOULD BOTH HAVE AN ACCOUNT SEPERATE FROM THAT SO THAT EVERYONE HAS SOME PRIVACY, CONTROL AND MONEY TO SPEND
Share.
But, I've never put his name on my student loans (taken out before we met) and his pre-marriage debts don't have my name either. That way, if something happens to me the gov't can't make him pay the balance of my loans.
At the moment, I'm not working outside the home. His wages pay the bills. BUT, we take into account what it would cost to hire someone to do everything that I'm doing at home (if I were to go back to work). It actually works out financially better for me be at home. (bonus is he gets good healthy homemade lunches instead of quickie-mart sandwiches)
My boyfriend and I have a joint account for household expenses. We put a fixed amount in that account each month and pay all the household bills from there. The rest of our money is in our own checking and savings accounts and investments. This system has worked very well for us for years.
We both maintain our orn accounts, but we have one shared chequing account that money is transfered by both of us into it to pay all the household bills. We had agreed and 50% of what each of us make.
Good in theory but it isn't working right now, I am putting 90% of what I make into it and we still come up short so I have to beg him to put more in( I feel like a 3 year old asking for my allowance). Things hopefully will change, and this way we both know what the bills are and can cut back if we are living beyond our means (which we are now).
It is according to your trust in your relationship. If what you do works for you, you got it. You can teach or tell others some things.
My significant other is not good with financial matters so we don't tempt him in that area. He is the main bread winner but he brings it home to me. I have a good since for financial business. I don't abuse my honey but I handle the money. We have ten children with 6 still in the nest. I need to be wise in spending and finding the best bargains for us.
We don't bank together. We trust one another and share a common goal, to take care of our children and help others where we can. We only got one life to live so we live it to the fullest. You and your other be blessed.

How do you feel about younger people having relationships?
ok im going into my final year of junior high, and im curious to know what people think about this. I noticed that most adults say that young teens dont know wat love is and if thats the case then why am i seeing so many have sex?How do you feel about younger people having relationships?
There is a MAJOR difference between Sex and Love.
Sex is an act made out of irrational thinking and only for pleasure.
Making Love is when you have sexual intercourse with someone that you love deeply, and should be married to.
I would say a good majority of teens have had multiple sex partners by the time they reach the legal age of consent, 16, and haven't been in love with any of those partners.
Older teens can, and I say can, as in not all, but some are lucky enough to find it, know what love is... older as in, 18,19. Not 13, 14... at that age your just hitting puberty or not too long after it, and your hormones act out before you think about it. That is why 12, 13 year old girls are running around pregnant now because their and some boy's hormones got the better of them and they experimented too far, and now that boy is still off playing with his little friends and the girl is about to get a good hard dose of reality.
I lost my virginity when I was 15...stupidest thing I've ever done. I was dating a 20 year old and thought he loved me. How wrong I was...after getting what he wanted long enough and getting me pregnant, and forcing me into an illegal abortion, and by forced I mean I fought til I couldnt fight anymorer... after dating for 8 months, then he left me.
Having sex is just the start, then you act out in other rebellious ways....not always but many do end up doing that for example drugs/alcohol/smoking...all of those things end you up depressed. I spent my entire teen years depressed after that, attempted suicide multiple times....I lost the most important years of growing and learning and just being a kid because of sex. I seriously blame everything on me deciding I was ';in love'; and ready for sex.
You can't be ready for sex until you are an adult and morally, you should be married. The teenage mind is not ready for that kind of thing. sex is more of a mental thing, expecially for girls than it is physical. it causes so much emotional damage.
Well, that was my opinion. How do you feel about younger people having relationships?
A lot of young people think they are in love so they do things they most likely will regret in the future. Also, many young girls beleave if they do things with boys, the boys will like them. That isn't the case. Most guys would rather date a girl that hasn't been with other guys. Wait, have fun with your friends. You don't have to date to have fun. Friendship can last forever, relationships in school hardly ever last. Especially if your not even in high school. Hope I helped
It's normal to want to be in a relationship and people are very wrong to say that you're too young to know what love is. Especially since it doesn't make sense to me that people who are very old don't even know what love is because they've never experienced it themselves. We all develop differently and I know a few people who have been ';together'; since childhood and they end up getting married and die together. It's BS when you're told you're too young for this too young for that... There's an age to start having sex, but everyone knows when, but be careful of all the pressure put on you. You need to know when to say yes and when to say no. Just be smart, you're not too young.
They say young dont know what love is. Most adults dont know what love is. People having sex is not love, its an experience, they might not be having sex with the same person or even going out with someone in a relationship. I think there are mature young people who know what love is. You know when you are in love and you know when you are just looking for fun
Because sex feels good. Sex and love are not the same. Adults recomend young people do not have sex until they are older [more mentally matured], because having sex at a young age leads you to be more likely to have multiple sexual partners, meaning a higher risk of STD's and pregnancy.. But most of all.. A higher risk of getting hurt. You may truly believe you're in love.. If it's love, it will last.. So wait a little longer, because your body isn't ready, your mind isn't ready, and most of all... Your life isn't ready.. Sex changes EVERYTHING.. perhaps not at first.. but with time you will notice how your life changed because of one moment...
Trust that if so many adults say you shouldn't.. there is a good reason behind it.. Even if you don't understand why right now..
their experimenting.
they just want to act older,
to look cool infront of their peers.
they really shouldnt be though.
it depends how young are you talking here
I dont give a ****!

Is love from same age good for successful relationships?
I listened about love from same age. Some people opanion was ';Its good';, some';its bad';, some';its possible'; and some say ';you love anywhere and every where';.
I want opanion from an expert. Is love from same age good for successful relationships?
My husband and I are few months apart age wise and he is the older, we met at university and I believe it was love at first sight, even if we didn't realize it immediately, We married within two years of graduating and that was 14 years ago, we are still in love, so from my experience, being in love and marrying someone my own age has been a successful venture.
I do disagree with sweety in saying that age gap with the man being at least 3 to 4 years older creates respect. What creates respect is mutual understanding, love, trust, taking care of the duties of marriage as dictated by God etc, it has nothing to do with the age of the husband.
If your man treats you like his queen like my husband does with me, you can't but want to care for and respect him because that is what he deserves. Is love from same age good for successful relationships?
When it comes to love ( in the US anyway) nothing is written in stone. No set rules except you better make sure the person is of legal age or you will be going to jail. Look at MaryKay LeTurneau %26amp; Villi whatever his lasr name is. Happy everafter. And all the Hollywood types who get rich %26amp; dump the old %26amp; aging wives %26amp; marry the 30 years younger women.
works for me so far.......
Love is love age does not come in to it, if the love you feel comes from th heart then it's true love, and don't be put of by what people say.
Love %26amp; Peace

How to reach out to people or make relationships?
I have been living alone for some time. Sometimes, I realized that it's been too long that I have been in my shell and it's time to reach out. Can you help me?How to reach out to people or make relationships?
Hi...I want to clarify something....
How do you want to reach out to people?..like as a volunteer?...serving in the community at a Local Food Bank or shelter....baking cookies...visiting a nursing home......or sending flowers to a shut-in or someone who's ill....in the hospital or at home...
Make relationships.....do you want to make friends...find romance?...
ok....I need to say that this is really two questions in one....
I am in the same boat been sort of on my own......I have old friendships...Friends....that I haven't had contact with for a long time...and I really do not want to rekindle any of those old relationships....
I want to start afresh...and make all new friends...
I have a broad array of interests...which is good...it makes it easy for me to connect with people on all different kinds of levels...background interests (arts, music, books-studies, movies/ entertainment and, life in general...) but it's hard for me to narrow my acquaintances to choose what type of person is actually the good friend for myself to spend more time with......
The best way to reach out/make relationships...is to make yourself interesting...not to sit at home...get out and be available....exchange information with people you meet...give them your email...see if this leads to other invitations...
playing videos games...reading novels..or keeping to yourself...whatever it may be..
Get out of the house...go have dinner...get a part-time job....learn something new....something you've always want to do...and JUST DO IT!! (like sky-diving, rock climbing, roller skating...)whatever....
...sign yourself up for dance lessons...join a book club....start selling Pampered Chef products and host house parties....or just cruise the mall talking to people that you see that have similar interests....when you see someone looking at the most gorgeous vase (at least you and this stranger are admiring)...comment on it...and say ';Don't you just think that's the most beautiful vase you've ever seen?!?!';....';I would love to have that in my house...';and just strike up conversation...
at the grocery store GREAT place to meet people...and during daily routines...
....join a club...YMCA....go to the gym...
Sometimes it only takes a word like ';hi';...to make a life-long friend....
Please NOTE...this are only ideas...there is no perfect way to find friends...
but if you do not succeed at connecting with the first person you meet or talk with....do not get discouraged...there will always be another person that needs a friend like you...just give it some time....
and as you make these connections...have a get together at your house...plan some games/cards..have some beverages and snacks at hand...and just enjoy good times with your new relationships
How to reach out to people or make relationships?
Join a club of interest, join a sport, hobby or get a part time job....this will make you have to interact with others, and maybe form good friendships.

How long does it take to establish close relationships within ur unit? I would like to only hear from experien?
My son has just recently finished SOI and is newly stationed at Camp Legeune. I am worried about him bc he seems depressed, homesick, and only has like 2 friends. He is a great guy, very nice %26amp; easy going. Is this normal for it to take time to bond with others? They have been bounced around sooo much since day 1 at boot camp. How long does it take to establish close relationships within ur unit? I would like to only hear from experien?
If he is in a unit that is back from a
Combat Deployment...it may take a long time...
Two,he is doing good...
The Homesickness is normal for those that
have/had Families...
I think within a month or two he will be
to busy to worry about home etc...
They are sending about 20,000 Marines
to Afghanistan for the spring push...
That is where the real ';Bonding'; as you
call it takes place...
He is ';Nickey New Guy'; and those that have
been in Combat and lost friends...try not to
make anymore...
I speak from experience...
Knew a lot of Marines...
made a lot of acquaintance's
Never made anymore Friends...

If he has just gotten to boot camp no worries. It won't take long at all most people are surprisingly very friendly, it just takes that one random conversation to start up then everything just gets better. Also the longer you are in boot camp the better it keeps getting.
Even if he is out of boot camp things still will get better, you seem like you really care about him, he should be very lucky to have you as a parent! :) wish mine supported me like that.
If he ever gets a call home he will sound very depressed almost like there is a gun being held to his head, don't worry there isn't. That is just how people sound. Good luck with that!
It is very natural for your son to go through a period of ';home sickness'; when first joining the Military. He would be experiencing the same feelings if he were away at college or in a new job that required him to be far away from home. The Marines call it culture shock. It is very normal but if it lasts for longer than 1 year your son should probably see a counselor and consider leaving the Marines when his enlistment is over.
I joined the Marines straight out of High School and was statiuoned at Camp Lejuene just like your son. It was hard sometimes but it made me a strong, independant person.
He will be fine, give it a minute. He will make friends.

Do relationships where two people are fixed together work?
(a fixed-up relationship is when two people are paired together by a friend)Do relationships where two people are fixed together work?
Well it depends on the people. It doesn't matter that your friend paired u up. The decision to stay together is up to u 2. They work if you like each other and are willing to make it work.Do relationships where two people are fixed together work?
You mean like, an ''arranged marriage''?
Some do, and obviously, some don't.
It's as much a luck of the draw as the Western conventional marriage / relationship ~ type of arrangement.
Sash.
it depends. you might be surprised. sometimes it can work out because you realize that you have the same interests and stuff. but sometimes it doesn't work out cause you have nothing in common, you both like different things or you just don't like each other.
Absolutely
Arranged marriages work very well, actually. In the United States, where arranged marriages aren't common, there is 50% divorce rate.
This isn't the case for arranged marriages, not even close.
Yes. There are alot of testimonials where ';fixed relationship'; works. But really both will have to start as friends and get to know each other. Then they got to click.
But I believe its possible.
Yes, well mostly I guess, it wouldn't really matter though if it's a fixed-up relationship though if it's true love.
sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
sure, if you are compatiable and like each other, it can work.
yes
doubt it
only if they did a good job

Can relationships that begin in a bar be successful?
If you two have only had one or two drinks when you first meet and get talking?
Or is it just a place to 'get' with girls? Can relationships that begin in a bar be successful?
It depends on the type of person you are looking for. If you want a person who is fun loving, enjoys life, and wants to party, this is the place to be. Just don't expect that person to change once you get together.

What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?
For example, like:
How many candy bars I can buy DEPENDS on how much money I bring.
How early I wake up DEPENDS on what time I go to sleep.
They need to have the word DEPEND in them.
Also, could you give me an idea on how to tell which is the independent and which is the dependent variable?
Please and Thank You! :)What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?
How much money you earn DEPENDS on how many hours you work.
Since the money DEPENDS on the work, the money is dependent. The independent variable is the other one that comes after ';depends on';
How much sales tax you pay DEPENDS on the price of the item.
How much income tax you pay DEPENDS on how much money you earn.
How drunk you get DEPENDS on how much alcohol you drink (oops, probably not a good one for school)
How long it takes to drive from your home to school DEPENDS on how fast you drive.
_/
What are some examples of real life dependent relationships in functions?
You can do a velocity one. How far you go DEPENDS on how much time has gone by (the slope of the line is your velocity).
The dependent variable is always on the y-axis. If you think about the wording, the value of the dependent variable DEPENDS on what happens with the independent variable. In an experiment, the independent variable is controlled by the scientist. for instance, the amount of light DEPENDS on how many light bulbs are used.

What are the implications of technology on business relationships?
Internet, wireless phones and computers are just some of the many devices that have become the fabric of culture. The dependency on technology has allowed us to sustain communication and become connected in ways before been impossible. The paradox is that relationships are becoming increasingly fragmented by the very means of maintaining the usage of them. What are the implications of technology on business relationships?

How can I be successful and maintain professional relationships in the education work place?
*Have a code of ethics clearly posted.
*Provide a small handbook for your staff outlining your goals and objectives
*Encourage your staff to work collaboratively in defining acceptable conduct.
Model the kind of professionalism you want to see. How you dress. How you communicate, How you relate to parents, students and colleagues. How you lead. All of these will set the tone of your organization. Others will see what you value by your example.

Help me define how the environment influences love, relationships and marriage?
I am writing a paper for my psychology class, and I need to gather information about how the environmental influences can alter these human conditions. The original questions from my directions are: What is the cultural definition of love? How are relationships defined by our culture? How is marriage portrayed?-- If you can help me out with this experiment/study I could use your opinions and/or thoughts about the questions.Help me define how the environment influences love, relationships and marriage?
A persons enviroment is everything. Children oftern learn by imitating there parents, and we often imitate the enviroment around us. The enviroment is what makes us want to do things, it infulences our decisions.
If it was normal for 12 year olds to get married and have a child by the time they are 14. Alot more people would be married by 13.
in Uk culture Its normal for people to get married at around 23-7. have a kid by 30-5. Because this is what everyone else does. We imitate each other.
Cultural definition of love depends on the culture. There is differences in love. the love someone feels in an arranged marriage is alot different the love a regular couple will feel.
Relationships are defined as wrong or right depending on what culture because we have different vaules and traditions.
Marriage can be seen as a cage for some women forced into arranged marriages. Marriage can be seen as a good thing in most cultures. its devotion.

How come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?
When you've found someone who has potential of being the one you marry some day, circumstances may not be ideal for your relationship yet. Either one person or the other has to finish school before being able to 100% commit in their own way or someone is going overseas for 4 months. Whatever the case is, the timing is off. If you have to walk away from that person, how do you trust that things will work out in the future when the timing is right? How much emphasis is put on the ';right time';? What is timing in relationships to you?How come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?
timing doesn't matter as long as i am with the person that i really love the most, when i am with that person, nothing else matters in the whole worldHow come sometimes the timing is wrong for relationships?
Timing seems to be everything. Everything is related. If the timing is off and it doesn't happen, then chances are it probably won't end up happening. You could say, ';Oh when we meet at a different time and place things will work out.'; But how do you both know for sure that it will? You will both be off someone in completely different stages of your life's. Chances are nothing will happen. I know that people say ';good things come to those who wait'; but I've never found that to be true.facbook

How do the Dutch people feel about interracial relationships?
My sister is in one with Dutch man and he wants her to come visit him in the Netherlands. I am worried about the way she will be treated there. How do the Dutch people feel about interracial relationships?
I agree we are much easier about it than some others, but there are differences. If he is from a smaller place in the country, people are just not so used to seeing people of other races and/or cultures, so there might be a bit of a culture shock - but that wouldn't mean she wouldn't be welcomed.
My family, from a conservative background in the East of the country, had to swallow twice when I came home with an American wife of Spanish decent - but they have always treated her extremely well..How do the Dutch people feel about interracial relationships?
The Dutch are a very warm and loving bunch. I've never had anything but enjoyable times when I've visited the Netherlands, or any part of of mid-northern europe. I'm a white 30-something male, and my wife is black, we have three boys, and who've all had wonderful experiences in all of our travels. It's the color that they'll look at, it the attitude. She just has to remember, that one, she's not in the states, and two...there's a time and place. Keeping that in mind with some common sense, and she'll have a wonderful experience too.
The dutch are very tolerant. In my experience if they don't know you they couldn't care less about your business. If they do know you you may get a comment here and there but all in good fun.
Oh and if your sis makes any effort to learn to speak dutch... people will totally be nice.

The dutch are very tolerant. In my experience if they don't know you they couldn't care less about your business. If they do know you you may get a comment here and there but all in good fun.
Oh and if your sis makes any effort to learn to speak dutch... people will totally be nice.
