How long can the honeymoon phase in abusive relationships last?

Is it possible for this stage to last several months? Even years?

For those who don't know, the honeymoon phase is when an abusive person is nice and calm in a relationship...

I'm curious as to what's the longest possible time this stage can last...

Thanks. How long can the honeymoon phase in abusive relationships last?
I've read that it can be years. I'm sure that if you call your local women's shelter or domestic violence center they can you accurate information. How long can the honeymoon phase in abusive relationships last?
They are very unpredictable you never know when their rage and anger will attack you. I say get out while you can. I was married for 7 years in a physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive relationship. I kept thinking he would change, but no luck at all. He would tell me he loved me right after, but he was never truly sorry because he would do it again and again.
I don't get it...the honey moon phase is when everything seems blissful....abusive honeymoon phase? The honey moon phase doesn't have to ever end..If you work together as team and make the marriage work...But the things you liked the most when you first are together maybe the thing you hate the most as time goes on..accept each others personal defects and life is grand....abusive...its time to leave no matter how long you been together...
Who cares? The goal should be to leave --period. Who needs a 'honeymoon stage' waiting around to be killed when you should just EXPECT to be safe!
abusing a person will never be a honeymoon period, its called torture period, now it all depends on strength of person on how long can they bear the pain
