I think money has a lot to do with problems in relationships. My husband says he stresses out too bad paying bills so has always had me do it. Then he gripes that he never knows what goes on. I try and make him sit down and let me show him everything and he's not interested. Then he decides he wants to pay his and let me pay mine. I said okay to that and gave him his bills, and he's still mad. This just happened tonight as a matter of fact. Some people you just can't please and while I think money doesn't cause that much trouble, people let it escalate and blame it as a cause.
I definitely believe financial instability is a big problem in marriages. Don't know how much of it causes the high divorce rate but it can definitely put a huge hole in a relationship.
Money issues are extremely important when it comes to marriage. Especially when you have a partner who is irresponsible, or lazy or unconcerned with financial concerns.
