How often do you think therapists engage in relationships with their patients?

Or entertain the idea? And does anyone know where I can get statistics? How often do you think therapists engage in relationships with their patients?
How often they THINK about it is a far cry from how often they ACT upon that thought...

It probably happens MUCH more then we think it does but that is still a horrible thing to do...

A therapist knows WAY too much about their patients and they know WAY too much about psychological manipulation to make it a ';Fair'; relationship...

That, to me, is about as bad as two siblings getting in to a non platonic relationship...

They are just too close to keep boundaries where they need to be...

How often do you think therapists engage in relationships with their patients?
I understand your statement but I still disagree. When you expose your deepest self to someone that you are told is ';Helping'; you, then you give them SO MUCH power over you, it can NEVER be fair... No matter what you tell your ';Lover';, you still have secrets. You are laid bare on the doctor's couch.

Well i have only heard of a couple but those who do it are fearful of talking as they now have someone who sees them for what they are' a troubled soul who seeked help. Now when the therapist leaves her or him they will be screwed over again and wonder why me..
When ever there a guy and a girl and lost of talking...there will be relationships. I dont think there are statistics for this, mainly because these relationships are kept private.
most likely. therapist have an easy in. they listen they respond and make people feel good. it is munipulative and disgusting. good luck
Too much, then again, everything in our society is based on having or doing too much.
Probably more than we know and definitely more than they are going to admit too.
An awful lot more than they should
Can I get a Hell Yes?
